One morning on our way to school…

My Son: “Mama, I’ve got good news and I’ve got bad news.  What do you want first?”
Me: In my head I ask myself, What 4 year old asks their parents this question?!?  Out load I asked: “Bad news first, please.”
My Son: “Decepticons are coming to earth.  There is going to be a huge battle.”
Me: “That is bad news.  What’s the good news?”
My Son: “The good news is the that the Autobots are also coming to earth.”
Me: “OK.  When are they coming?”
My Son: “Today!  They are fighting over the earth!  Don’t you remember what Demolisher told Optimus and Ironhide in China?!?!”
Me:  “Ummmm….Sorry, I don’t remember.”
My Son: “This is not your planet to rule.  The Fallen shall rise again.  You need to pay attention, mama.  This is important stuff about the earth.”
Me: “You’re right, sorry.  Can I still go grocery shopping and to the library?  Is there time before the battle?”
My Son:  “Sure, can you get me some squeezy fruit?”

Seriously?!?  How does he remember a speech from a movie but he can’t remember to flush the toilet?
